院長ごあいさつ

地域の皆さまの人生に寄り添う、安心と信頼の腎臓病診療を

はじめまして。

院長の田中 茂（たなか しげる）です。

私はこれまで、九州大学病院や地域の基幹病院において、20年以上にわたり腎臓内科・透析医療の専門医として、臨床と研究の両面から研鑽を積んでまいりました。

さらにスウェーデン・カロリンスカ研究所での客員研究員としての経験を通じ、世界の最新知見にも触れながら、「腎臓病とどう向き合っていくか」、さまざまな視点から見つめ続けてきました。

こうして培ってきた専門性を、すべて目の前の患者さんのために活かしたい、それが私の変わらぬ思いです。

腎臓の病気は、保存期から透析治療まで、長いおつき合いになることが多い病気です。

すぐに治すというより、これからの暮らしを一緒にお支えしていく、そんなイメージに近いかもしれません。

だからこそ私は、検査の数字だけを見るのではなく、「その方がどんな毎日を送っていて、これから何を大切になさりたいのか」患者さんご自身の想いに耳を傾けたいと思っています。

むずかしいことは、できるだけやさしい言葉で。

気になることは、その場で遠慮なくお尋ねいただく。

正確な情報をわかりやすくお伝えし、不安や疑問をそのままにしない対話を、何よりも大切にしています。

そして当院では、現状に満足することなく、常に学びと改善を重ねるスタッフが、互いを尊重し高め合うチーム医療で、皆さまをお支えしてまいります。

私の好きな言葉に「一燈照隅（いっとう、いちぐうをてらす）」というものがあります。

私どもだけで大きなことはできなくても、目の前のお一人お一人の想いに寄り添い、腎臓病の療養生活をしっかり支え、照らせる存在でありたい。

その気持ちを胸に全力を尽くしてまいります。
